The FoldCat 375fc is one blockbuster of a boat...! Sea Eagle President Cecil Hoge has been busy developing this boat for over four years and finally it's ready.The Sea Eagle R&D warehouse in Port Jefferson is filled with prototypes that were too short, too long, too this, or too that, but the production model FoldCat 375fc is just right...believe me! The FoldCat 375fc is a Tim's Best pick.
InflatableBoats4Less received our first Sea Eagle FoldCat 375fc just in time for a big RV show. Booth set-up procedures are hectic at RV shows with never enough time to get it all done. The last thing I needed was a complicated new product to set up. I was in for a pleasant surprise...!
Box number one was the biggest and heaviest at just a little over 80 pounds. I opened this box to reveal the completely assembled FoldCat including the floorboards. I hooked up the pump and a few minutes later the boat hull with aluminum floors is ready. The second box included all the hardware to turn this boat into a comfortable fishing machine including comfortable hard plastic sturdy swivel seats, a pedestal for the rear seat, the motor mount, quick releases for the 2 seats, risers for the oars, and four rod holders. It took about 20 minutes and a Phillips screw driver to permanently mount the seat quick-releases and the flush mounts for the rod holders to the pre-drilled aluminum floor steps. Another few minutes and the seats were able to slide onto the seat mounts and the rod holders clicked into the flush mounts Next the motor mount was installed on the stern. Fortunately, the installation process is quite easy thanks to the detailed manual, pre-drilled holes for the accessories, and supply of all the necessary hardware. After you are done with the initial setup, the slats, mounts, step bench, and footrest bar will not require removal for stowage. You just roll up the entire rig and wrap the 375fc into its storage bag. The third box had the two-piece oars and oarlocks. In all the FoldCat 375fc was ready to show 39 minutes, first time, out of these 3 shipping boxes. We were allotted 5 of the first 50 Sea Eagle FoldCat 375fc's and sold out early to the eager space conscious RV'ers attending the show. Many show have followed and our set-up time is down to just a few minutes from two storage bags to a ready-for-the-water FoldCat sitting proudly upon our display stand!

"The bottom pictures show the brand new upgraded 2010 Foldcat 375.Thanks for noticing.
There have been many production upgrades to the Sea Eagle Deluxe and Pro Angler FoldCats that occurred during late 2009. These upgrades include longer thicker fiberglass reinforced oars, stronger nylon and plastic resin oarlock risers which replaced the aluminum risers with their ongoing failures along the aluminum welds. Most who have used both the old and new appreciate the wider more stable front step plate that replaces the smaller narrower front step plate and round reinforcing prop rod.The new front step plate mounts to four boat mounts vs. just two on the old step plate. If you had tried to board the front angler position on the old Pro FoldCat from a heaving dock you would understand the advantage of a stronger more firmly anchored full width front step plate vs. the old narrow step plate. This front plate is now standard on the Deluxe Foldcat while in the past if you wanted the step plate on your FoldCat Deluxe it was extra cost.
Another part of this 2010 upgrade includes two full length underbars which replaced a short and long underbar combo. The longer front underbar provides increased stability for the front step plate (and anybody standing on the step plate). The full length front underbar also allowed for a revised optional casting bar mount which allows the casting bar to fold down out of the way when underway which was not possible in the prior version.
I especially appreciate the carry handles that have also been improved and relocated to avoid interfering with the rowing stroke and make for easier carrying and storage. The new FoldCat 375 has one less aluminum step. All other step plates are the same width. Most thought the additional middle step unnecessary and a hindrance in rolling up the Foldcat 375 for storage.None of the 2010 changes noted have resulted in cost cutting for the manufacturer...or the dealer. Actual average production costs have risen due to these changes yet the price is now $100 below the original 2005 FoldCat. You might be surprised to know that industry competitors scoff at the extra expense Sea Eagle pours into the production of their boats and accessories.

Pontoon boats are a great way to get to places where fish are hiding. But who has 35-40 minutes to spare to put your boat together? Most rowing frames take that long to assemble. Our FoldCat has a unique folding support system that can be inflated and assembled in 5 minutes by one person.
The FoldCat 375fc will take up to a 3 hp gas engine but motors very well with a small electric motor. Two Swivel seats allow you to turn and follow the fish wherever they swim.
Unlike other pontoon boats, the FoldCat 375fc features a 1000 denier reinforced inflatable hull - just like our Sport Boats that take 40 hp engines.
Cheaper pontoon boats are built with a thin bladder which is encased in a heavy but porous outer bag. This makes for a much heavier boat with two hulls. The outer, porous hull often remains waterlogged and a breeding ground for bacteria. Two man pontoon boats with this system can weigh 125lbs when dry, and over 150lbs when waterlogged. By comparison, the FoldCat hull is an easy to carry 75lbs.
Using the optional Seat Pedestal gives the angler a better perspective in sight fishing. The subtle changes in depth, water clarity, or bottom composition are easily viewed from the deck of a FoldCat.

I've lived on rivers and around lakes my whole life. I'm familiar with boats and the FoldCat is ideal for what I wanted: a small fishing outfit for ponds, lakes and rivers. It's ideal to fish off. I can't find anything wrong with it at all
I've given the FoldCat pretty rough treatment and it doesn't seem to hurt it any. It's been over rocks and snags and I haven't poked a hole in it yet. The hull material sample that Sea Eagle sent me sold me. I even tried puncturing the sample material and I couldn't.
