In this series of inflatable's are the Sea Eagle 8, and Sea Eagle 9, and now the Sea Eagle 124smb Super Motor Mount Fishing Boat. Unlike the Sport Runabouts above, the model numbers here don’t represent length. The Sea Eagle SE8 is 9’7”, and the Sea Eagle SE9 is 11’, while our new super-boat The Sea Eagle 124 stretches to 12'4". This is not the only difference. These boats are constructed of our unsupported PolyKrylar heavy gauge super-vinyl and therefore are much softer. Any of these boats make great river rafts and you can also add floorboards, seats, and motor-mounts and they become inexpensive fishing boats…fishing boats for under $800!
While I’I've sold many of this series of Sea Eagle inflatable boats they are the only boats that I've ever received complaints on. Not many, but in the interest of presenting an accurate review of all that's good in Sea Eagle boats I must also point out the warts. Some have been disappointed in the time required to install the floors, seats, and motor mounts while others found these hard parts difficult to store. Unfortunately if you only have $500 to spend this is the only way to go and I have many, many more fans of these boats than detractors. I recommend the Sea Eagle SE9 Fisherman's Dream in this series of boats as Tim's Best Pick.
Only $50 separates the SE8 and the SE9 but that $50 buys you a thicker 38 mill PolyKrylar and another 17” of length.

The Sea Eagle SE9 is the best fishing/pleasure boat per dollar spent you will find! Sea Eagle does have a heck of a time keeping these in stock during the Spring/Summer boating season so give us a jingle to check for availability...especially if you're planning your vacation around your new boat!
Any of this series of fishing boats...the Sea Eagle SE8,the Sea Eagle SE9, or the new Sea Eagle 124 Super Motor Mount Fishing Boat are good choices but the Sea Eagle SE9 is priced just $50 higher than the SE 8 Sea Eagle. We think that this may be the best $50 you'll ever spend! The 1200 pound payload SE-9 is rated for five people compared to the three-person 950 pound payload rated SE-8. Sea Eagle also builds the SE9 with a thicker and tougher 38 mill PolyKrylar comared to the 33 mill skin of the SE8. A crowded boat is not much fun so you'll appreciate the SE9's additional 17” of length and extra 250 pound payload.

The Sea Eagle 9 is portable, lightweight and easy to assemble. The boat packs down to a 24" by 23" by 10" size, so you can carry it in a car trunk or store it in a closet.
You can use a Sea Eagle 9 for fishing, camping, yacht tending, skin diving, river-running or pleasure cruising.It is still lightweight and portable enough for you to carry to nearby lakes and ponds. If you are a river running enthusiast, a Sea Eagle 9 makes a roomy river raft for up to class three white water. Despite its large size, a Sea Eagle 9 is surprisingly easy to row, especially with two people rowing at the same time.
A Sea Eagle 9 without floorboards makes an amazingly large tender that can be stored below deck on a shelf when you wish. With floorboards, a motormount, and a 4 HP engine, a Sea Eagle 9 will motor briskly along even when loaded with several passengers and a lot of gear.
Best of all, a Sea Eagle 9 can literally motor all day on less than a gallon of gas. A small electric motor will also push this relatively light boat along quite well, so you can go on lakes which ban gas engines. Whatever way you choose to use a Sea Eagle 9, you will find that it makes a great all-around boat that will give many years of pleasure and use with minimal upkeep and care necessary.
