The SE6 is a great raft to run rivers and it packs down to a 2 foot bundle that's easy to store.
I know a guy who unloads and locks his mountain bike to a tree down river near the take-out point, drives upriver to the take-off point and launches his SE-6. After a calming, leisurely drift back down river to the take-out point and his bike, he locks the boat to the tree where he found his bike, then bikes back upriver to retrieve his car. Then it's back down to pick up the boat. The man has perfected the art of the"solo shuttle. "
If you're going to buy the Fisherman's Dream package with the floorboards the SE8 or SE9 make a better choice because they have the interior room a fisherman needs for all his "stuff" and because Sea Eagle notified us in August 2008 that they will no longer offer the Sea Eagle SE-6 with the Fisherman's Dream Package. So for now if you want the SE-6 the only option is the SE-6 Start Up shown below.
SeaEagle 6 Inflatable Fishing Boat
The SE-6 is a smaller motormount boat for those wanting a
more portable yacht tender or fishing craft. A foot shorter
and 7 lbs. lighter in weight, the Sea Eagle 6 is easier to
assemble and easier to row than the Sea Eagle 8. At 25 lbs,
the hull is light enough for one person to carry.
The SE-6 packs to a fraction of its inflated size, so you
can take it almost anywhere. It will fit in a small car trunk
and one person can easily handle it. You can use a Sea Eagle
6 for fishing, camping, yacht tending, skin diving, pleasure
cruising, etc.
